From electric cars, efficient diesel generators, we are committed to our community and the environment. It’s part of the reason we have spend the last 25 years working on renewable energy infrastructure. Aside from working on renewable energy generation, TCB Industrial works diligently to reduce our environmental impact in every project. Some examples are:
During this project TCB expended over 40,000 man hours with no accident or safety incidents. In anticipation of the extensive labor resources necessary for this project, we considered ways to minimize our carbon foot print during the project duration. All on-site stationary diesel equipment was certified to Tier IV emissions standards, above and beyond the Tier III PG&E standard, further removing 1,450 kg of greenhouse gas emissions. The combination of car-pooling from Oroville and local housing of craft employees at Belden Town yielded a reduction of greenhouse gases estimated at 70 metric tons and a 49% reduction of driven miles.
The project expended over 23,000 man hours with no accident or safety incidents. Approximately twenty percent of the man hours were from local craftsmen, reducing the need for driving. In anticipation of the extensive labor resources necessary for this project, we considered ways to minimize our carbon foot print. The combination of carpooling and local housing of the craft employees, minimizing material and equipment deliveries yielded a reduction of greenhouse gases estimated at 68 metric tons.
